Jersey Shore Man on Hospice Gets End of Life Wish Granted

A heartstrings pulling story from a Jersey Shore town late last week. Holisticare Hospice in Toms River was able to grant a man his end of life wish with help from his family and the community.

George had a simple wish, to feel the sand on his feet and sun on his face one last time. George's wish was granted with a day at the beach in Seaside Park. Surrounded by his family, nurses, and staff George was able to feel the sand between his toes.

Holisticare Hospice told George's story on their Facebook page which has since gone viral.

Seaside Park Police Department lent a helping hand to make all of this possible. He was able to stand up and feel the waves on what can be called the perfect beach day.

No perfect beach day is complete without some boardwalk pizza, which is how George ended his day.

Sawmill Pizza on the Seaside Park boardwalk treated George, his family, and nurses to pizza and beer to round out the perfect day.
