Linwood Police: Reported Bike Path Abduction Was Not a Crime

After reports of an attempted abduction, Linwood Police took to Facebook Tuesday to clarify that whatever happened Tuesday on the Linwood bike path was determined to have not been a crime.

In the post, Police said that it was reported to them that an attempted abduction took place at about 10am Tuesday on the bike path and they felt is was necessary to relieve any concerns of the public by saying their investigation "determined that the incident did not warrant an arrest, nor were any complaints filed".

The vague nature of the police post on Facebook left some of those responding wanting more information about exactly what did happen that lead to allegations of an attempted abduction, while others seemed satisfied with the police decision.
