Huge congratulations extended to the Middle Township Panthers!

Announced in a press release that came out yesterday afternoon, it was revealed that multiple schools in New Jersey have been chosen to receive an educational arts grant in the form of $10,000 from the Artists in Education Residency Grant Program. Courtesy of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, this grant will allow for what Artists In Education call a "teaching artist" to enhance the school's artistic emphasis.

Samantha Clarke, an administrator for the Artists in Education Residency Grant Program, says "The twenty-day residency provides professional development in the visual, performing, and literary arts, in-school workshop days with a professional teaching artist, and a community-based culminating event. AIE residencies focus on direct learning about the arts and the processes of creating art, including the skills, techniques and concepts of the art form."

Middle Township's getting artsy! Congratulations, Panthers! What an awesome opportunity!
