Well, it was a rough second week for the Birds at their very first home game in front of that many people. The Linc was filled for the first time this past weekend to a capacity it hasn't seen since before the pandemic hit. Unfortunately, that hype was met with the Birds first official loss of the season. They fell to the 49ers.

Hopefully, they'll be able to bring home a win from the road this week. Let's hope so. It's one of the biggest games of season from a fan perspective, but we'll get to that later.

Let's jump right into my picks for week 3, shall we?

I'll start off with a pick everybody around me said not to even have an opinion on because it could go either way. They're not wrong, either. However, my loyalty to former Eagles head coach Andy Reid makes me want to root for him this week in their match-up with the LA Chargers. Both teams are coming off of losses out of week 2. The Chargers definitely shouldn't have lost that game last week. Still, since the Chargers will be struggling defensively this week, that might work in Patrick Mahomes and the Chief's favor. Good luck, Andy!

Next, we'll talk about Pittsburgh. I think they'll easily be able to take the 'W' from the Cincinnati Bengals this week. For one, the Steelers are at home, so obviously, that advantage usually helps. Pittsburgh dealt with a lot of setbacks in their game against the Raiders last week, so hopefully the lessons learned from that will serve them well against the Bengals.

Finally, of COURSE I'm rooting for the Birds to come away with a win when they go up against the Cowboys on Monday night. We need a 'W' for morale purposes, and to walk away victorious from our first time versing our rivals this year would taste beyond sweet.

GO BIRDS!
