Authorities say the medical examiner determined the cause of Caraway's death to be, "neck compression," and ruled the manner of to be homicide.

Shortly after the crime, in a press release, Mayer's office said the Voorhees Twp. Police Department received a call from a person who was concerned about Lichtfuss' well-being after receiving text messages that implied that he may harm himself.

Mayer said, "officers arrived at Lichtfuss’s residence located on the 1400 block of Lincoln Drive in the Village Apartments. Upon receiving no response at the door, officers made entry into the residence. Once inside, they located the victim’s deceased body in a bedroom. Lichtfuss was not located inside the residence."

That evening, Lichtfuss was found at a Royal Farms convenience store parking lot that's located next to the Voorhees Twp. Police Department and arrested.

Lichtfuss has a post-indictment arraignment scheduled for November 1st.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

What NOT to do during a traffic stop if you are pulled over by a cop in Camden County

My husband is a police officer. He is an amazing man who saves lives and upholds the law. He makes me proud every single day.

I know being a police officer can come with a lot of criticism, especially when there are bad eggs that give police officers a bad name. I can assure you that there are many police officers that uphold the law and do not abuse it, and my husband is one of them.

I hear stories when my husband comes home and he tells me that he encounters some crazy people. I feel like it is very simple to not get arrested by a police officer once you're pulled over or have an encounter with a cop. I went right to my hubby and he gave me some tips to share with all of you.
