Earth Day is this Saturday and you can do your part to help the environment by volunteering to clean-up Sea Isle City's beaches.

The Sea Isle City Environmental Commission’s 2017 Spring Beach Clean-Up is scheduled for this Saturday from 10AM until noon.

If you are interested in helping out, simply stop by the corner of JFK and the Promenade Saturday morning and sign-up. Gloves and other supplies will be handed-out to make the clean-up easier. Each volunteer will be given a t-shirt and a free tree seedling, while supplies last.

And while the goal is to make Sea Isle City's beaches spiffy just in time for the crowds of spring and summer, this is also a research project. Volunteers will be asked to document the type of debris that they find and a report will then be given to Clean Ocean Action to identify big pollution problems for the Jersey Shore.

If you would like more information on Sea Isle City's beach clean-up, call (609) 263-2081.
