Sea Isle EMTs Honored After Assisting With Labor and Delivery
The spotlight is on Sea Isle as something's happened that hasn't in the last 40 years.
NBC Philadelphia shares news of the heroic actions performed by Sea Isle EMS who assisted with the labor and delivery of little baby Luciana Golato whose mother, Jeanne, gave birth to the first baby born on the island since the 1970s.
It was anything but a smooth delivery. EMTs D.J. Fancher and Kristine Lynch responded to a desperate call they received that a woman was in the process of giving birth in her bedroom and the baby was coming out legs first.
Thanks to their quick instincts, the baby girl was delivered safely and thereby able to be transported to get the necessary care.
The EMTs were honored during a city council meeting this week for their heroic actions in the part they played to save baby Luciana.
