Six Flags Great Adventure Set to Open in April

A staple summer activity at the Jersey Shore is spending the day at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. The park is set to open in April.

Growing up in New Jersey has its perks. You live close to the beach, there are boardwalks to take a stroll down, and you have Six Flags Great Adventure. The park is opening in less than a month, with opening weekend April 1st and 2nd. Three new additions this season are three adorable baby giraffes, Xena, Charly, and Eddie. Instead of sitting in front of your computer waiting for April to have a baby you can see three baby giraffes in person.

Of course if you are like me you want to make sure you hit all of the roller coasters. I've been going on Batman since I was tall enough.

Throughout April they are hosting many events for their opening month. Are you trying to think of things to do with the kids during Spring Break? Six Flags Great Adventure will be open April 8-17, which is a perfect way to get out all of that pent up energy your kids have been building up all winter.

Six Flags Great Adventure is also holding an Easter Weekend sponsored by PEEPS with an egg hunt April 15th. The first 250 kids (toddlers-12 years old) arriving by 9:30am will get a free wristband for the PEEPS Egg Hunt! There will be other games and entertainment in the morning. Egg hunt begins at 10am.

They will also be holding one of their most popular events, Fast Tracks and Food Trucks.

They will have over 15 food trucks between 12pm-7pm on April 22nd and 23rd. Plus, some New Jersey wineries from 1pm-5pm. To participate in wine sampling you need valid ID and a ticket. During the festival they are offering discounted park tickets using the code "TRUCK".
