There won't be any Boots at the Beach in North Wildwood this weekend. Organizers had to pull the plug on the festival because of the uncertainty of the approaching storm.

The three day event was scheduled to include regional country bands on two different stages all weekend.

Here's a statement from event organizers:

Due to the uncertain forecast and potential impacts of Hurricane Florence. More specifically the threat of gale force winds , tidal street flooding and steady rain forecasted thru Saturday evening. We are sad to say the 2018 BOOTS AT THE BEACH FESTIVAL, HAS BEEN CANCELLED......

Understand that this was not an easy decision, and this was a collaborative decision between many Agencies. The main focus was everyone's safety and enjoyment. This after all is an OUTDOOR festival.

Be known the 8 bars and restaurants in the festival area will be open for Business as usual , most of which have country entertainment booked for the weekend.

We appreciate all of your support and we will be back , BIGGER and BETTER in 2019 !
