The last year has taken a toll on literally everyone in some form or another. Whether you were fortunate enough to remain employed or not, the last 13 months have been rough, to say the least.

Regardless of what the statistics say, I know from personal experience via various friends, neighbors, and family members just how awful the stress has been for so many of South Jersey's still-unemployed residents. Sure, people are slowly getting back to work, but not at the pace they should. In some cases (again, speaking from close friends' personal experiences that were shared with me), even though people are being called back to their jobs after being furloughed, many hourly employees have been reduced from full to part-time. That means while it's great they're getting back to work, some are still not able to bring home what their family needs to survive.

The hope is that as time presses on, the state will recover which will result in people back to work in the same capacity they were pre-COVID. If you haven't been given a glimmer of hope from your company yet and are about to give up, don't. Companies ARE hiring. Maybe it's time to stop waiting for your current (or previous) place of employment to call you back. Perhaps it's time to press on and figure out what comes next.

Well, I have good news on that front for you. There have been not one, but two different job fairs announced that you may choose to inquire about.

The first is at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. It was announced via a press release sent out from the Bitner Group that the Hard Rock is ready to hire 700 employees. They're hosting a job fair next week on Tuesday, April 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Etess Arena. According to the press release, if you plan on attending, make sure you have your ID, work authorization, passport, and birth certificate or Social Security Card as some hiring may be completed on the spot. You're encouraged to take a look at all of the opportunities available HERE.

The second job fair will take place in Cumberland County at the Rowan College of South Jersey's Vineland campus. This job fair would benefit anyone in the manufacturing industry. This job fair is also being held next Tuesday, April 20th, however the hours are different. You can show up to this one between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. NJ.com reports that upon your arrival, you will receive information regarding positions open at 30 businesses within the area. You can access even more information about the manufacturing industry job fair HERE.

As long as you keep an open mind and your eyes peeled, you'll find a job soon enough.

Much of the information presented above was sent via a press release directly from the Bitner Group.
