With a nod from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, the Barefoot Country Music Festival has bobbed and weaved it's way to a 4-day festival now scheduled for the Wildwood Beach in August of 2021.

Organizers say they checked in with the New Jersey Governor and got his blessing to proceed with planning the event that was originally scheduled for the summer of 2020.

Because of the pandemic, the festival was postponed until June 2021. A second postponement, though, only pushes the festival ahead for two months, with the new dates announced as August 19- 22, 2021.

The idea of August was discussed with Governor Murphy and officials in Wildwood, with the thought being the Covid-19 vaccine will have been widely distributed by summer, with "things returning to normal."
