The Coast Guard came to the rescue again over the weekend in South Jersey.

A crew out on a training mission Sunday morning from the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City received a report about a boat in distress and taking on water east of Long Branch, NJ.

According to a post on the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City Facebook page, the crew deployed the rescue swimmer and vectored Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet/Shark River to the scene.

When they arrived, the crew found 3 people on a boat filling quickly with water. The video shows a scary scene for this pleasure craft sinking fast with one boater trying to bail water to stay afloat. To put it mildly, his bailing efforts were not working.

Enter the rescue team from the US Coast Guard, and three boaters in distress are here to tell the tale. Watch the dramatic video.

Well done by all!
