Bagels are a staple in New Jersey. Could you imagine breakfast without them? What would we eat our pork roll on? Life without bagels would be dull. What if I told you that your life is a lie and you are cutting your bagels wrong? Crazy right? That was too many questions.

A video is circulating with the mathematical way to cut a bagel. Apparently, cutting the bagel down the middle doesn't give you enough surface area for your cream cheese. As a cream cheese addict, this is music to my ears.

According to Delish, Professor George W. Hart of Stony Brook University came up with this interlocking method. The method seems like more effort than it's worth, but if it means more cream cheese I'm down.
