If your car was broken into in Margate this week, police may have arrested the guys who did it.

Margate Police say shortly after 5am Wednesday they received several reports of cars being burglarized in the 500 block of Jerome Avenue. Police say one of the calls said a citizen was in pursuit of a suspect.

Margate Police, with help from Ventnor's K-9 unit, were able to locate two suspects who were hiding. According to police: "The suspects were found to be in possession of items from several car burglaries and were taken into custody. The local citizen was assaulted by one of the suspects and was treated and released from a local hospital."

Arrested  were Brian D. Cottingham, 26 of Bridgeton, and Anthony P. Ivens, 25 of Ventnor. The investigation is continuing.
