23-Year-Old Little Egg Harbor Man Critically Injured By Fireworks
Police in Ocean County say a 23-year old man is in critical condition after being injured by fireworks he was setting off the night of July 4th.
Police in Little Egg Harbor Township say that just before 1am Sunday, they responded to a call about a fireworks accident on Great Bay Boulevard.
Once on the scene, officers and emergency personnel found a semi-conscious man, bleeding from his head. The township man had serious injuries to head and hands.

Police say witnesses at the scene said he was "lighting a mortar firework when it went off prematurely in his hands."
The unidentified man was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden, and, at last report, was in critical condition.
