23-Year-Old Man Shot in Little Egg Harbor Township

Authorities have released details of a Friday night shooting incident in Little Egg Harbor Township.

Shortly after the incident, Little Egg Harbor Township Police starting asking local residents to check any security camera footage in the area for anything unusual.

Now, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradly Billhimer has released details of the shooting.

According to Billhimer, Police were received a 911 call Friday night at 11:45pm about a man shot multiple times on Center Street. When officers  arrived they found the man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds lying in the roadway.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital in Atlantic City and, at last check, was in critical condition.

Billhimer says the incident remains under investigation.
