5K For South Jersey’s Marine Mammal Stranding Center Animals
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is celebrating their 40th anniversary and over 5,000 rescues with a 5K run and a post-run party, right here at the Jersey Shore!
The race will be held on May 19th in Brigantine from 9am-12pm, at the Laguna Grill and Rum Bar where they'll also be holding a post-run party buffet. YUM. ($5 fee for non-participants to eat at the buffet)
The race is baby stroller and dog- friendly, with gift baskets and prizes for first, second, and third place qualifiers in different age groups. There's also a free T-shirt for all who participate!
Registration fee CAN be waived if you become a fundraiser like Cat Country's very own Rachel Marie did!
The goal is for each fundraiser to raise at least $200 dollars to help the Marine Mammal Stranding Center continue to their efforts in saving the animals here in New Jersey and beyond.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center has responded to over 5,000 stranded whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles! How Cool!
Register here, and SOON! After May 10th, the registration fee increases from $25 to $30, and again to $35 at the door on race day.
