A 60-year-old man from Atlantic City is recovering after police say he was struck by a taxi Saturday night in the city.

According to the ACPD, officers responded to Bellevue and Pacific Avenues around 8:00 Saturday night for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Officers located the pedestrian, a 60-year-old man from Atlantic City, in the road. He was taken to ARMC-City for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle, a taxi driven by a 45-year-old man from Atlantic City, left the road after hitting the man. The taxi hit a fire hydrant, a utility pole, and a building at Florida and Pacific Avenues.

The surrounding roadway was closed for approximately two hours while the scene was cleared. Cops say there are no charges at this time pending a continuing investigation by officers.
