The calendar has changed to December and the temperatures have changed with it. Just a couple days ago we were around 70 degrees here in South Jersey and now we're waking-up to temps in the 20s. Winter officially starts in a few weeks and December can be quite a challenging month here in the Garden State. Just last year on December 26th and 27th, we were hit with a blizzard that dumped up to 36" of snow in Ocean County, making holiday travel very difficult. A year prior to that (who can forget the winter of 2009-2010), we had another blizzard that dumped up to two feet of snow on South Jersey.

Many of the long range forecasts for our area are calling for a "normal" winter season, both in terms of temperatures and precipitation, so maybe we'll catch a bit of a break over the next few months.
