A Wildwood man, who had active warrants for his arrest, was apprehended Monday in Cape May County.

Middle Township Police say one of their officers was patrolling the Rio Grande section of Middle Township Monday morning in the area of Joe Canal Plaza on Route 47 when he spotted a man who had active warrants for his arrest.

The individual, identified by police as 42-year-old Andrew Wells of Wildwood, was arrested without incident. Upon searching Wells, a bag containing approximately one and one half ounces of suspected Methamphetamine was seized, according to authorities.

Wells was placed in the Cape May County Jail in lieu of bail.
