The words "Foot Pursuit" are usually never good for bad guys.

Atlantic City Police Officers Eric Evans and Brandon Bowers had to do a foot pursuit Monday night, but they got their man - and, his drugs.

Atlantic City Police say  Lance Byard, 29, of Atlantic City was being questioned by the officers Monday night when he abruptly ran away. Officers gave pursuit, seeing Byard reach into his pants pocket, grab something and throw it on the ground. That something was a bag of cocaine, which was recovered.

Officers caught Byard and arrested him on multiple charges. He was taken to the Atlantic County Jail.

Officers Evans and Bowers were patrolling Pacific Avenue and the beach blocks at the time of the incident.
