Atlantic City Police Catch Egg Harbor City Man Red-Handed During Robbery
If you ever watch TV and there's a story that includes someone robbing a bank, the bad guys usually know they need to get in and out of the bank in a certain amount of time before the police arrive on the scene. They have a "clock" for which they are always keeping track of time.
This guy, in Atlantic City, must have forgotten his clock at home.
He was robbing a local hotel when police arrived on the scene and caught him red-handed.
Atlantic City Police say just before 10:30 pm Wednesday; officers went to the Best Western Hotel on Pacific Avenue for a report of a man threatening others. When they arrived, police found three hotel employees outside the building. They told the officers that the man who was causing the trouble was still inside.
Officers Nicholas Grasso and Justin Peyton went into the hotel lobby to find the man, Jahlil Boston, 31, of Egg Harbor City, behind the counter, stealing money from the cash register. Boston was taken into custody without incident, and all the money was recovered.
According to Atlantic City Police, "The officers learned that Boston entered the lobby, threatened employees, and then forced his way behind the counter. In fear, the employees fled outside. There were no injuries. "
Boston was charged with robbery and burglary. He's being held in the Atlantic County Jail, pending a court appearance.
