With most beach towns expecting the largest crowds they've seen yet this weekend, several officials are making sure their messages about safety protocols and city attraction updates are out there for all guests to see in advance.

Yesterday, the mayor Avalon wanted to ensure all visitors to the town were aware that nightlife inside the restaurants and bars would not be what they may be used to. The town's mayor, Martin Pagliughi, said in a Facebook post that unless you're getting food service at a restaurant with a liquor license, no alcohol will be served. Stand-alone bars will not be serving alcohol alone to patrons.

For some, this may come as a disappointment especially going into the 4th of July weekend, however, Avalon officials have had this policy in place for a few weeks now. It's all about what makes them feel like they're doing their best for the safety of everyone in the town.
