Bats, Brass Knuckles Come Out in Parking Lot Fight in Wildwood Crest

Frustrations and emotions escalated into the use of weapons as two people fought in Wildwood Crest back on August 9th. The fight was over a parking space.
Wildwood Crest Police have just released information of the out-of-control incident that happened in the 100 East block of Heather Road.
Police say it was two neighbors arguing about a parking spot, and the argument escalated to physical contact, and finally included the weapons.
Police have identified the two people involved as Juana I. Rodriguez and Kiaraenid Aletriz-Ayala. Their fight included Rodriguez striking Aletriz-Ayala with a small metal bat. Police say "Aletriz-Ayala then struck Rodriguez in the face with brass knuckles."
Police say no serious injuries were suffered and both were arrested at the scene.
Rodriguez was charged with "Aggravated Assault/Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon." Aletriz-Ayala was charged with "Aggravated Assault/Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Prohibited Weapons/Devices." Police say both were released with a summons to appear in court.
