Body Found in Delaware Bay Near Lower Township

Two men kayaking in the Delaware Bay off Lower Township discovered a body in the water Sunday afternoon.

Lower Township Police say the men called in the report of the body in the water about 30-40 meters off the coast, in between Adelphia and Racetrack Drive.

Police have been able to identify the deceased as Christopher J. Heise, Sr. 71. He had been reported missing by family members, who's belongings had been found on a nearby beach.

The cause of death has yet to be determined, but officials do not suspect foul play.
