Bridgeton Police Arrest 5, Recover Weapons, Drugs

One of the rules we're all living by right now is no large public gatherings. You probably should follow those rules, especially if you're packing illegal drugs and guns.

Bridgeton Police say they responded to the Burlington Manor Apartment Complex several times Thursday night and early Friday morning to attempt to disperse large gatherings in a parking lot. Ultimately, police say, they arrested five people and "seized narcotics and a weapon along with a high capacity loaded magazine."

Police say the first time they encountered the crowd, at 9:30pm, they made the following arrests:

Davonne McNair, 24

Charges: Possession of CDS (Ecstasy)

(2) unrelated FTA warrants
Disposition: ROR

Canaan Williams, 31
1 Maple Drive, Bridgeton
Charges: Possession of CDS (Cocaine)
Possession w/intent to distribute
Defiant Trespass
Possession of Drug paraphernalia
Unrelated Criminal Warrant
Disposition: Lodged in CCJ on unrelated warrant

Anzionae Jones, 23
50 Casarow Drive, Bridgeton
Charge: Hindering her own apprehension-False Information to LEO
Disposition: ROR

A return trip to the area, at about 11pm, resulted in the issuance of summons for four more people, with the order they leave the premises. Police say while they were on the scene at that time, that made a motor vehicle stop, on a car with fake license plates:

As a result of the subsequent investigation, the two occupants in the vehicle were arrested after a foot pursuit ensued involving a passenger of the vehicle. Officers recovered a handgun in the vehicle along with a loaded high capacity magazine. Those charged were:
