Brigantine Emergency Management Warns About High Tides July 4th
If you're looking forward to the holiday weekend so you can pull your vehicle on the beach in Brigantine, local authorities have some important information for you.
Watch out for the ocean - particularly the high tide.
According to Brigantine Beach Office of Emergency Management, a full moon will wreak havoc with high tides on Saturday and Sunday - and those who park their vehicles too close to the water could find themselves in a heap of trouble.
Authorities say high tides are expected both Saturday and Sunday at 8am and 8:50am. They say high tide will make some areas very crowded and even impassable. They pass along the following:
Key Concept:
DON'T GET STRANDED
***plan on leaving at staggered times throughout the day***
***plan your exit routes with neighboring vehicle owners***
***plan on avoiding coming on or off beach access in the hour before, during and after high tides***
