A big shout out to the Cape May Lewes Ferry!

Smithsonian.com has named the ferry, which runs between Cape May, New Jersey and Lewes, Delaware, as part of their list of "Seven of the Most Scenic Ferry Rides in the United States."

The ferry runs several times each way, each day across the Delaware Bay. You can take your vehicle on the boat, or ride as a "foot passenger."

Here's what the website says about the Cape May Lewes Ferry:

The Cape May-Lewes Ferry provides an 85-minute journey past striking lighthouses and charming harbors, often escorted by a pod of dolphins or whales. Make sure to arrive early, as both ports are home to dockside grills known for serving New England clam chowder, conch fritters and burgers, not to mention a variety of coastal-inspired cocktails like Mai Tais and Rum Runners.
Other ferry services mentioned in the article were in Alaska, New York City, Rhode Island, Washington, Texas, and between Michigan and Wisconsin,
