Car Hits House in Lower Township, Woman Dies

A 72-year-old woman lost consciousness behind the wheel of a car and it crashed into a house in Lower Township. The woman later died.

Lower Township Police say Carol A. Adams was driving on Seashore Road Friday afternoon, when she became unconscious and the car hit a house near the intersection of Breakwater Road.

Adams was pulled from the car by emergency responders, who provided CPR and transporter her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A 91-year-old man, also in the car, was not injured in the accident.
