Cops: Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Drugs in Ocean County
An Ocean County woman is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop Saturday morning.
Troopers with the New Jersey State Police say 48-year-old Buffy Schoonmaker of Forked River was arrested; she has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to authorities, just before noon Saturday, troopers from the NJSP's Tuckerton Station stopped Schoonmaker for a traffic violation on County Road 539 in Barnegat. Police say during the stop, they discovered that Schoonmaker was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and THC oil. She was arrested without incident.
Schoonmaker was released pending a court appearance.
