If you stop and think about it for a moment, the internet has truly changed our lives. Practically every discovery that humans have ever made can be debated, you can be inspired by some of the greatest literary works the planet has ever seen, medical information can quickly be shared across the planet...

...and you can now look at videos of toilets in restrooms in Ocean City and beyond.

Now, to each his own. I'm not here to judge the particular interests or hobbies of any one individual. After all, we all have our likes and dislikes... I suppose.

But the other day, I was scrolling through YouTube and among the random videos that appeared before me as something that I would like to see (thanks, YouTube) was a snapshot of a toilet with the title, "Bathroom Tour: Mansfield toilet at Playland's Castaway Cove Amusement Park in Ocean City New Jersey."

Intrigued (and who wouldn't be), I clicked on it. And it was just as described -- a video tour of the bathroom at one of the amusement parks on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Further intrigued (and who wouldn't be), I checked out the Toilet Channel (which has 40 subscribers -- I'm not one of them) and low and behold, lots of video tours of lots of bathrooms. Urinals, toilets, sinks -- you name it.

Some of the videos start with the person who is doing the filming waiving at himself in a mirror. His face is blocked, so you can't see who this Spielberg-esque video tour guide is.

I should probably mention that each video depicts a specific brand of bathroom fixture, like, maybe he just happens to be very knowledgeable when it comes to brands of urinals? I dunno. And the comments are about those items, not of anything that's below par.

And also, I should point out, especially given the nature of these videos, none of them that I have seen include anyone in the bathroom with him, using the bathroom, or, shall we gently say, post-mortem usage of said facilities.

I'm rarely at a loss for words about a given subject. But, I think this one can stand (or sit, as the case may be) for itself. You be the judge...
