If you see or smell a lot of smoke in the air this weekend, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service will be conducting a large amount of prescribed burning, weather permitting.

There will be a statewide mobilization of New Jersey Forest Fire Service resources to accomplish this project and to provide initial attack for any wildfires that may occur.

Dozens of burns are planned for areas all across South Jersey, including Wharton State Forest, Bass River State Forest, and wildlife management areas in Stafford Township, Tuckahoe, Millville, Maurice River Township, Estell Manor, Winslow Township, and Deerfield Township, just to name a few locations.

Don't be alarmed if you see a lot of smoke in the air this weekend.
