
Galloway Burglar Caught By Police and K-9 Unit Rocky
Rocky, the Galloway Township Police Dog, was instrumental in locating and arrested a suspect in a Saturday afternoon burglary attempt.
Galloway Township Police say Joseph Stansberry, 31, of Galloway Township was arrested following an incident Friday afternoon.
According to police say they received a 911 call shortly after 4pm about a man trying to kick a door in at a residence. When the man saw the caller in the home, he ran.
Officers checked the area locating Joseph Stansberry who fled on foot from responding officers into a wooded area near the White Horse Pike and 4th Avenue. K9 Sgt. Winneberger and K-9 Rocky responded to the area and located Stansberry, taking him into custody.
Stansberry has been charged with attempted burglary, assault on a law enforcement officer, 2 counts of resisting arrest, obstruction, disorderly conduct, possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's being held in the Atlantic County Jail.
