Galloway Twp NJ Accident Resulted in 10 Hour Road Closure
If you had trouble negotiating a part of Galloway Township Sunday night and early Monday morning, we found out what caused the problem.
It was a traffic accident on Moss Mill Road that brought down a utility pole and wires.

Galloway Township Police say the accident happened just after 8pm Sunday on Moss Mill Road, near the intersection of Old Port Republic Road.
Police arrived on the scene of the accident, finding that a car, driven by Gilbert Slaughter, had left the roadway, striking a power pole.
Police determined that Slaughter's car had left the roadway, hitting the pole and causing several wires to fall and land on the roadway.
As a result, Moss Mill Road was closed for nearly ten hours while crews from Atlantic City Electric and Verizon repaired the pole and gathered up the wires.
Police determined that Slaughter, 32, of Blackwood, was "impaired and he was subsequently placed in custody for driving while intoxicated." Slaughter was processed, given several citations, and released pending a court appearance.
Police report that Slaughter sustained minor injuries and was treated at the accident scene.
Assisting Galloway Township Police at the scene were Stockton University Police. Galloway Township EMS, and the Atlantic County Roads Department.
The accident remains under investigation.
