Let's face it, the pandemic has us spending more and more time in front of the TV and "other screens."

I've put together a short list of Netflix movies and shows that I've been watching and thing you'll enjoy.

It's mostly movies, because I'm a "movie guy", and usually don't like to get sucked in to shows that I have to spend a while day or weekend to get thru.

1. "I'm Sorry." OK, I will start this list with a couple of series. This one is a comedy, and it's definitely not for the faint of heart. You're going to hear a lot of raunchiness, and probably learn some new words and phrases along the way.

"I'm Sorry" is a sitcom starring comedian Andrea Savage. She is one funny lady! Again, the raunchiness level is high, but if you can lower the volume so the kids won't hear it, you'll be OK.

Savage stars as a California mom and comedy writer and the show follows her day-to-day life.

Why have I never heard of Andrea Savage before?

You're going to watch the first 15 minutes of the first episode, and you'll be DMing me your thank you. You're welcome.

The sad part: There's only two seasons, and, apparently, there will be no more...

2."Cobra Kai." It's season number three for the series that stars all the "old people" who were in the original "Karate Kid" films.

The story continues to flow with Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso and we learn more about karate and dojos than we ever thought possible.

Highlight of season three: The return of Ali, played by Elisabeth Shue. Be still my heart.....

3. "Hillbilly Elegy." What a great movie! The Ron Howard directed movie stars Amy Adams and Glen Close. This is certainly not either of the actress's most elegant role. Great story.

4. "The Midnight Sky" stars George Clooney and very cold weather. Not the easiest flowing movie, but certainly worth the time you'll invest to watch.

5. "The Trial of the Chicago 7." Based on real events surrounding the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago. Riveting. For those who didn't learn about this is school - greatly educational.

BONUS: The Peacock network has rolled out some good stuff lately. I'm really enjoying the fist couple of seasons of "Saturday Night Live" from the 1970s. Great to see how the show evolved - and how skits gained momentum.
