The next time you see Kacey Musgraves in a magazine, it may not have anything to do with her music. The "Velvet Elvis" singer has signed a modeling contract with IMG Models, which has offices in New York City, Los Angeles and internationally.

"So excited to be joining the @IMGmodels fam," Musgraves tweeted on Tuesday (May 7), confirming the news.

The agency represents other well-known names like Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and Hailey Bieber, as well as Bella and Gigi Hadid.

The news comes after Musgraves made her Met Gala debut as an actual Barbie, complete with blonde hair and a neon pink suit. Moschino and Jeremy Scott designed her outfit with help from her stylist, Erica Cloud.

The Met Gala is the fashion industry's moment to shine for the world while raising money for New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. Each year there is a new theme that attendees are asked to base their red carpet fashion upon, with 2019's theme being "Camp: Notes on Fashion."

A shoot from a Musgraves promotional video shared by IMG Models is part of the V Magazine's Music Issue. In the issue, the rising country star speaks about her husband Ruston Kelly, music career and childhood. The issue is available on newsstands now.

Musgraves has Oh, What a World Tour shows running through November 2019. She released her Golden Hour album last March.
