Happy National Cat Day!

We LOVE cats here, OBVIOUSLY. So, when I saw this story about this little nugget named Penny, I just had to share. Her story went viral on social media just in time for the holiday.

Penny's chance at life was slim at first. When Penny came into the possession of her owners, she was in really bad shape. In fact, she was in a coma with no certainty whether or not she would pull out of it to even have the chance to live a normal life. She was so small, not even a full month old yet. Her owners had to feed her with a syringe and were shocked every morning when they woke up to find her still kicking.

This one though, will prove to be a fighter.

Her owners would even wake up in the middle of the night to Penny having seizures. It's so sad. The vet diagnosed little Penny with hydrocephalus which led to a week's worth of treatment. Once Penny's owners realized she was going to make it to the other side, they realized just how fiery this little peanut is. She's a true woman of the 21st century, little Miss Penny. She knows what she wants and she goes after it - including her big brothers.

Penny's story is so inspiring; one of love and perseverance from both her and her owners. In today's world, I think it's important that we see more stories like this. Hope is the only thing stronger than fear. Without it, these people would have lost their precious Penny.

If there's one lesson to be learned from this, it's to never lose your gumption. Be more like Penny!
