A Camden County Police Officer, identified by Hammonton Police as a Hammonton High School Alumnus, was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident Thursday night.

The officer was one of four officers who just made national news a couple weeks ago for saving people in a burning car.

According to Camden County Police, Officer Joseph Mair was critically injured by a fleeing hit-and-run suspect.

According to a post on the Hammonton Police Department's Facebook page, Mair is a graduate of Hammonton High School.
