Little Egg Harbor NJ Police Seize Heroin, Arrest 3 on Mathistown Road
More drug arrests in Little Egg Harbor Township.
These arrests follow the arrests of three people in relation to an observed alleged drug deal recently on National Union Boulevard.
This time, the arrests occurred on Mathistown Road, as police made three separate and simultaneous stops of pedestrians.
Little Egg Harbor Township Police say the stops were made at 2:20 pm on Wednesday, November 3. According to police, "Probable cause for the stops was established during a narcotics-related investigation conducted by the Little Egg Harbor Street Crimes Unit. A search of the individuals resulted in the seizure of quantities of heroin and related paraphernalia."
Three people were arrested:
- Scott R. Somers, 30, of Little Egg Harbor - arrested and issued a summons charging him with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Conspiracy to Possess CDS.
- Donald R. Overstrud, 40, of Little Egg Harbor - arrested and issued a summons charging him with Conspiracy to Possess CDS, and released pending future court proceedings.
- Erron M. Gransden, 35, of Eagleswood - arrested and issued a summons charging him with Possession of CDS, and released pending future court proceedings.
Police have issued this statement:
"Anyone with information relating to the unlawful possession or distribution of controlled dangerous substances in the Little Egg Harbor, NJ area are requested to contact the Little Egg Harbor Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit at (609)296-3666 Ext 178. All sources of information are kept strictly confidential."
