Longport Police Officer Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A longtime veteran of Longport Police was killed in a traffic accident yesterday.

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that off-duty Sgt. Charles (Tom) Adams was killed in the crash yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Route 40 and Tuckahoe Road in Franklin County, Gloucester County.

Adams' motorcycle collided with an SUV in the intersection.

The accident remains under investigation.
