Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault at Wildwood Crest Hotel
Wildwood Crest Police were called to a local hotel were they found the victim of a beating - and witnessed the accused jump from a second floor window.
Police say it happened back on June 6th at a hotel on Denver Avenue. When officers arrived injuries to the victim, and saw the suspect escape.
The accused, Edward Watson, 35, of Turnersville was later located by officers and taken into custody.
He's been arrested and is being held in the Cape May Jail. According to police, Watson faces charges of "Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault by Strangulation, Resisting Arrest by Physical Force or Violence, Obstruction of Administration of Law, Criminal Attempt- Purposeful, Criminal Mischief, Hindering Own Apprehension, Failure to Allow Fingerprinting, and two (2) additional Warrants out of another jurisdiction."
The identity of the victim and his or her condition has not been released.
