Mays Landing, NJ Halloween Parade To Affect Traffic Patterns Saturday
Halloween Weekend is basically here.
That means we've all got parties, get-togethers and trick-or-treating to look forward to. Here in South Jersey, we take Halloween pretty seriously. We know how to throw down for All Hallows Eve. With all the frivolity you're expecting to get into, make sure you give yourself enough time to get to everything.
For one, make sure you don't encounter any unexpected back-ups getting from A to B this weekend. The authorities are already making sure people are aware of potential issues that are expected to arise here in South Jersey. The Hamilton Township Police Department issued an alert on Wednesday in an effort to inform people of potential traffic as a result of a change in traffic patterns due to the Mays Landing Halloween parade this Saturday.
They've announced that the following roads will be closed from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m on Saturday, October 30th:
- Route 50 from Old Egg Harbor Rd to River Dr.
- Main Street from Route 40 and River Drive to Mill Street and Route 606
If you're traveling through Mays Landing on Saturday and the parade is not your desired destination, make sure you're aware of the fact that there will, most likely, be more traffic than normal if you're traveling on Route 40. Obviously, it's smart to seek out an alternative route if you'd like to avoid the congestion.
It's better to be prepared than caught unaware, right?
Have a safe Halloween weekend!
