Police Still Have No Answers Regarding A Deadly Millville 2-Car Collision
A 30-year-old man from Upper Deerfield Township in Cumberland County lost his life earlier this month when he was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle in Millville.
The part that really hits home is that nothing has yet been figured out by authorities, which means the family doesn't have answers quite yet. You can't help but feel for anyone dealing with a significant loss like this, but can't even begin the healing process since there are so many question marks surrounding the situation itself.
NJ.com reports that 30-year-old Stephen Butts was driving his car when it crashed into a pick-up truck heading the opposite way on Cedar Street in Millville. Not only was Stephen hurt and taken to not one, but two hospitals, the passenger in his car was treated for injuries, as well. The passenger is reportedly doing alright. After Stephen was transported to a local hospital within Cumberland County, he later had to be transferred to the Cooper Trauma Center in Camden where didn't wind up making it.
The incident took place a few days before Easter, on April 2nd, so the family's been dealing with this for almost two weeks now. The agony and pain that's being endured by all involved at the present is truly heartbreaking when you stop and try to put yourself into their shoes.
If you think about it, the lack of answers provided by the police must be similar to the feelings the family of the missing Bridgeton girl, Dulce Alavez, whose whereabouts have been unknown since September of 2019. Sometimes, the pain of the unknown wears on you just as much as the reality of what actually happened.
If you or anyone you know believes they have information regarding the crash, you're encouraged to reach out to the Millville police sergeant. His contact info and be found HERE.
