He was bored at work, so he walked across the street and bought a lottery ticket.

Gregory Velez won $7 million in the Cash4Life lottery that fateful day.

Velez was bored at his job as a parking attendant at a Lower Manhattan parking facility, so he walked across the street and purchased a lottery ticket from Southend News on South End Avenue.

The following day, a co-worker mentioned that someone won the grand prize from the convenience store.  Velez checked his ticket and realized he was the winner.

He took a walk around the block, went back into his job and quit.

Congratulations!

Sorry Joe Kelly, if this happened to me, I would do the same thing :)
