It is that time of year, back to school time! This of course means back to school shopping for both parents and teachers. Many, if not most, teachers have to shell out quite a bit of money for school supplies each year. According to many news articles, on average teachers spend $479 each year on classroom supplies. Only $250 is tax deductible. We want to make it a little easier for one lucky teacher.

I went to the store and grabbed a bunch of school supplies and classroom items and made a back to school cake. No, there is no real cake involved. Have you seen those diaper cakes at baby showers? They're comprised of diapers and other baby necessities that are put together to look like a cake. They're pretty cool. I took that idea to make a "cake" out of those school supplies.

So here's how this is going to work. Fill out the form below to nominate your favorite South Jersey teacher. They must be a current teacher at a South Jersey school district. Include the teacher's name, school they work at, grade and/or subject they teach, your name, your email, and the reason for your nomination. The contest will end on September 14th. The teacher with the most nominations will win the back to school "cake."

See what's in the back to school "cake" in the video above. There is a TON of stuff in there.
