Ocean City NJ Police Look for Dog Tag Wearing Theft Suspect
Police in Ocean City are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in a burglary and theft incident that took place on the boardwalk this past summer.
Police have provided some photos of the suspect and both the vehicle and electric scooter he used during the incident.
According to Ocean City Police, the event happened in the early morning hours of August 26, in the 900 block of the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Here's how police describe the man:
"The suspect is a white male, approximately 50 to 60 years of age, at least 6'00 tall with a muscular build. The suspect has tattoos on both his upper arms. The suspect is initially wearing glasses and has dog tags around his neck. The suspect is later observed without the glasses and dog tags. The suspect also utilizes a black-colored electric scooter during the incident."
Police say he was seen leaving the area in a "white/silver colored Suzuki XL-7 SUV, possibly 2004 through 2006. The vehicle is believed to have a New Jersey or Pennsylvania license plate. The vehicle has tinted rear windows and damage on the rear driver side quarter panel."
