The 2020/21 school year has been a real challenge, to say the least with the ongoing concerns of the coronavirus pandemic. The Pleasantville school district has just made an announcement that will affect the rest of the year.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that all Pleasantville schools will stay in fully remote instruction mode for the rest of the school year. The district is also planning a extensive mold restoration in all buildings. Mold has been reported in all six schools of the district.

Much needed repairs will also be made inside and outside of all the schools including roof repairs and heating and cooling issues. These repairs will begin sometime this summer.  The restoration project will begin immediately. The projects will cost the school district more than $10 million dollars.
