Prosecutor Says Cape May Councilman/Realtor Cyber Bullied Ex-Girlfriend
A Cape May man has been arrested on charges of Cyber Harrassment. The charge has to do with a former girlfriend.
Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Chief Paul Skill of the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office say Christopher Bezaire, 43, of Cape May has been arrested. This followed in investigation that Bezaire Cyber Harrassed a former girlfriend.
Officers took Bezaire into custody Wednesday afternoon at his home in the 200 block of Windsor Avenue. A search warrant was also carried out at the home, as well as Bezaire's place of employment in the 500 block of Washington Avenue.
Officials says Bezaire is a Cape May Councilman and a Realtor in Cape May County.
No details of the alleged harassment have been made public by officials, but Bezaire has been charged with Invasion of Privacy, Cyber Harassment, Stalking, and Contempt of Court. He's being held in the Cape May County Jail pending a court hearing.
Prosecutor Sutherland says if found guilty, Bezaire could be sentenced to up to three to five years in prison.

Accussed are considered innocent until proven guilty.
