It wasn't your typical distress call for the Tuckerton Police and Fire Departments yesterday morning.

According the their Facebook page, the Tuckerton Fire Department got a call about a raccoon that got its head stuck in a tree! It happened at the corner of Marine Street and Otis Avenue.

According to the post on Facebook:

Retired State Conservation Officer Lt. Wayne Tonnesen was asked to respond, along with Tuckerton Fire Company's rescue truck.
Tonnesen attempted to free the animal by hand, but was unable to dislodge it. He then used an air chisel to enlarge the hole and free the raccoon.

After the rescue, the raccoon scampered off....
