Red Bank, NJ Man Charged with Secretly Videotaping Girls and Women in Supermarkets
A Monmouth County man was rearrested by police for taking upskirt photos of unsuspecting women at area supermarkets.
According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Christopher W. Cox, 33, of Red Bank is charged with eight counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, nine counts of third-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials, nine counts of third-degree Invasion of Privacy, two counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact, and a single count of fourth-degree Possession of a Large-Capacity Gun Magazine.
The Prosecutor's office said in a release that last October, Cox allegedly followed female shoppers around a supermarket in Shrewsbury and used his cell phone to secretly photograph them from behind. Cops say Cox was seen leaving in a while Dodge Durango.
About a week later, Cox was pulled over in Red Bank, where after originally obeying a police officer's commands to exit his vehicle, he jumped back into his vehicle and fled. The suspect was apprehended a short time later in Little Silver where he was arrested.
During the investigation, police recovered a large-capacity gun magazine, and digital video files, mostly of girls and women who were recorded up their skirts with a cell phone that was hidden in a bag or grocery basket.
Police say that these incidents allegedly took place at various supermarkets in Union and Monmouth counties between November 2021 and September 2022.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered that Cox worked as a plumber, and is accused of secretly videotaping himself rubbing his privates against clients in one instance, he's accused of exposing himself and performing a lewd act.

If convicted, Cox faces up to 10 years in state prison.
